Please donate to the Chapel of the Holy Family in our Guest House
The Guest House of the Holy Family has been built for you, the guests of our monastery. We wish to welcome especially families here and also all the retreatants, guests and pilgrims of this place. For the time being there is a temporary Chapel of the Holy Family in the Guest House, which needs to be furnished and decorated so that it can fully serve our guests and above all honor and glorify God.
Planned furnishings and equipment for the Chapel of the Holy Family:
The main altar (with wooden altar steps, altarpiece made of birch, walnut and oak wood, using inlay techniques, gilding and handmade carvings)
- Two side altars (located under the front windows on either side of the main altar)
- Painting on glass ('stained glass' windows) at both front windows
- Wooden grille (oak wood, turning)
- Pews (of larch)
- Confessional
- Entrance door and sacristy door
- Aspersorium, carpets, sacristy furnishings, etc.
The furnishings will be made of quality solid wood using historical artistic and decorative techniques, and at the same time subtly fitted to the light and simple space of the chapel. We, the Cistercian Brothers, will also participate in the work, especially as far as the main altar is concerned.
